Cappadocia Sightseeing
After breakfast in the morning, at 09:00, we will depart from the hotel and have a stop at Devrent Valley on the way between Ürgüp and Avanos. Here, we will see various fairy chimney formations to understand the geological structure of the region. Continuing our tour, we will visit Göreme Open-Air Museum, one of the most significant tourist attractions in the country. The museum contains churches and monasteries carved into the rocks by early Christians of the Eastern Roman and Byzantine periods. The interior walls of these structures are adorned with frescoes depicting scenes from the Old and New Testaments. After some free time for taking photographs, we will have a break at a place called Esentepe near Göreme to enjoy the panoramic view.
Later, we will have a lunch break and free time for shopping in Ürgüp, the largest settlement in the region. We will also take a photo stop at the Üç Güzeller (Three Beautiful Girls) viewpoint in Ürgüp. In Uçhisar, we will visit a winery. Here, we will have a chance to visit the Kocabağ Wine Factory and taste the wines they produce. After that, we will visit a valley called Paşabağı, where we will see some of the largest fairy chimneys in Cappadocia. Following this, we will pass through Avanos, located on the country's longest river, Kızılırmak, and witness pottery making at one of the region's most famous pottery workshops. The tour will conclude in the late afternoon at Perissia Hotel.
Note:
For participants who have already registered, the tour is free, and for their accompanying persons, there will be a charge. Registration for the tour for accompanying persons can be done during the registration process.
